Part 2 of the constitution governs who may become a member, how applications are processed, member rights and responsibilities, fees, and the dispute resolution and disciplinary processes.
Any natural person who applies and is approved by the committee is eligible for membership. Membership Year runs 1 July to 30 June.
Applications must be in writing (email accepted). The committee approves or rejects. On approval, the entrance fee and first annual subscription must be paid within 28 days.
Annual fees not paid within 3 months of the due date result in automatic cessation of membership. Rights are personal and non-transferable (Clause 5).
A member may resign by providing at least 1 month's written notice to the Secretary, or any other period the committee determines.
Both the entrance fee and annual subscription are set by the committee. Members must pay all fees to retain voting rights at general meetings.
Disputes are resolved by direct discussion within 14 days, or before an independent responsible person. Disciplinary decisions may be appealed to a general meeting within 28 days. Rules of natural justice apply (Act, s.40).

Part 4 governs how the association holds its Annual General Meeting, special general meetings, notice requirements, quorum, voting, and the use of technology.
The first AGM must be held within 18 months of registration. Subsequent AGMs within 5 months of each financial year close. Business includes minutes, reports, elections, and financial review.
The committee may call a special general meeting at any time, or must do so if at least 5% of the total number of members requisition one in writing.
General meeting notices must specify the place, date, time, and nature of business. Special resolution meetings require 21 days' advance notice.
Five members present (personally or by proxy) constitute a quorum. If quorum is not met within 30 minutes, the meeting adjourns to the same time and place the following week.
Each member has one vote. Chairperson holds a casting vote on equality. Members must be 18+ and have paid all fees to vote. Proxy appointments must be in writing to another member.
General meetings may be held across multiple venues using any committee-approved technology that gives each member a reasonable opportunity to participate. Remote attendees are treated as present.
